Dessert Recipes: Welsh
Ingredients:
200 grams of butter, 4 eggs
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 cup candied fruit 1 cup nuts
1 cup applesauce
white sugar ½ cup brown sugar ½ cup cornstarch
half, a half cup of flour
teaspoon nutmeg half teaspoon
cinnamon
fourth teaspoon powdered cloves
teaspoon baking soda ¾ cup brandy
¾ cup sultanas and currants ¾
Preparation:
first thing we do is to cut candied fruits in small cubes and soak them with all other fruit (excluding nuts) in the brandy, to take taste.
In a bowl mix together butter, white sugar and black sugar to form a cream which will then add the beaten eggs, fruits, nuts, applesauce, flour, baking powder and the other ingredients. Finally add a small amount of salt, then mix thoroughly.
After subtracting only the mixture to pan and cook about an hour. After stripping, let cool and serve.
