Ingredients: 4 apples
washed, peeled, seeded
1 / 2 lemon, juice

crumbs:
150 grams flour 45 grams

Preparation:
Wash, peel and remove seeds from apples, chop them into cubes 11/2-2 cm per side. Mix with lemon juice and sugar, stir well.
In a medium skillet that can go in the oven (no plastic parts or Teflon) melt the butter over medium heat, once it stops foaming add the apples and arrange them so that they are in a single layer, let them cook for 20 - 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, having them an eye on, the idea is browning, but be careful because in the end they burn easily.
Meanwhile preheat the oven to 180C or 350F. Prepare
crumbs in a medium bowl, mix the flour with sugar and add cold butter to form crumbs working the butter with a fork or your fingertips, it should be fine crumbs and other irregular but more or less thick size of a pea.
When caramelized apples are covered with crumbs and bake for 45-60 minutes until lightly browned on top. Serve warm with cinnamon ice cream (my favorite way) or very cold with a little liquid cream (as I served my mom) or alone.
