I really wanted to prepare this cake, and very curious to try it, this Saturday was the birthday of one of my sisters thought it was the perfect opportunity, to tell you ... apart from how beautiful is the taste is delicious, is a very soft sponge ummm coverage to eat by the spoonful, I'm thinking of using it in other preparations.
only tell you that is a typical cake in Canada and throughout the United States, there are lots of recipes some with beet mine is a mixture of one and the other ... I hope you enjoy it and who decides to do it, if you look for some detail on 14 February is perfect.

Mix the buttermilk with the dye, I spent a lot ... so I'll see if I can find another to make this cake.
IMG_1144
IMG_1145
Add the flour to the mixture, and mix just a little.
IMG_1146
Adding parts of buttermilk and mix with the dye.
IMG_1147
continue mixing, we will in three times to end it all.
IMG_1149
We combine the vinegar, baking soda, will then ferment, when finished will add it to the masses.
IMG_1150
Pour batter into pan. Go hit that I have had to use a red mold between the mold and the top do not know if you will really appreciate the color ...
IMG_1151
Place in the oven, preheated to 175 º for 30 minutes, pinchais with a toothpick and it comes out clean when you're not open your oven within 20 minutes and then it would fall.
We took the cake and let it cool, I did the night before and we will find it easier to cut later.
IMG_1152
cut the cake, this time I have done in three parts, the next I will venture to four as this will be cut even more striking. I have this cutter you buy at Ikea for some time now and doing great but you can always do it with a carving knife.

whip the cream.
IMG_1157
Mix cream cheese with the mascarpone, icing sugar and vanilla.
IMG_1159
incorporate the cream and mix gently.

We
cake elsewhere IMG_1165

IMG_1166
ended the top of the cake and cover the entire surface including the sides.
IMG_1169

Ye in the refrigerator until ready to serve, the coverage will pick up some more consistency.
